Vice President

Karen Obermeier

Karen Obermeier has been a Sports Club member for 20 years. In that time, she has been secretary twice and has been in charge of Happy Hour for three years. Karen has also served OSC on the nominating committee and social committee. She co-hosted Super Duper Happy Hour. Karen has been a darts captain and has participated in darts, bowling, pool and golf. She attends most social events including: wine and cheese, beer and chili, annual affair, happy hour, excursions and golf scrambles. Karen has been honored with the Woman of the Year and the Unsung Hero Award. Karen would like to see the club continue to evolve with fresh ideas, tools (i.e. website) and member participation in both sports and social activities.

Secretary

Deb Davidson

Deb Davidson has been a Omaha Sports Club member for 15 years. She has served on the board as league manager for pool and bowling and has been in charge of the roster and publications. Deb has also been a committee member on the community outreach program and nominations. She has been a captain of bowling, darts, pool and softball. Deb can be seen at the annual affair, beer and chili, and other social activities.

Deb would like to see the Sports Club continue to grow and expand membership. She feels the friendships that have formed over the years in sport and social activities are important parts of being a member of Sports Club. It is this fun atmosphere that is essential to draw and retain new members.

Ken McKeon has been a member for 22 years. He has been the chairperson for excursions and a captain of volleyball. Ken has participated in golf, pool, bowling, ski trips and canoe trips. You will see Ken at most social events, happy hour, beer and chili and the annual affair. Ken said he would like to see better recruiting of new members.

Brenda has captained darts and participated in golf, godabo, excursions and many OSC social gatherings. She would like to see the continuation and expansion of our great Sports Club, which has brought so many good people together for so many years.

Pat Martinson has been in the Sports Club for 20 years. She is rerunning for treasurer and has also served on the board as vice president, publications and softball chair person. She has served on several committees; social, nominating, web, audit, picnic, beach party and organized three Niobrara canoe trips. Pat has been the league manager for softball, bowling (including bowling secretary for six years) and acting starter for the SpringLake league golf. She has captained softball, darts and bowling as well as participated in pool and wallyball. Pat attends many of the social events and has been on several excursions. She is a past Woman of the Year recipient.

Pat would like see more members step up and volunteer. If OSC is to increase the membership or if it is simply to make the club a more rewarding experience, we need new blood to be willing to bring in and execute new ideas and sports. This requires a commitment to plan, organize and support the activities, along with member participation. As treasurer, she will work, with the help of others, to bring on-line options to our members and the club, and to increase efficiency.
