The Omaha Sports Club’s Annual Affair was Friday, September 10, at the DC Centre, just north of 120th and Blondo.
The Annual Affair is the club’s largest social event of the year, featuring a happy hour with appetizers and free drinks from 5 to 8 p.m., a short business meeting and then live music and dancing with Rough Cut.
Jim Graves was elected as president of the OSC, Joyce Stoural as vice-president, Deb Davidson as secretary and Pat Martinson as treasurer.
Ken McKeone was recognized as Man of the Year. Ken has been a member for about 18 years. He has participated in volleyball, pool and darts, and chaired excursions. Currently, he is in charge of roster and public relations. He has spent time contacting companies in an effort to recruit new members. Thank you Ken for your time, effort and dedication to the Omaha Sports Club.
Joy Pudenz received Woman of the Year honors. Joy has been an OSC member for over 20 years; she started playing sand volleyball at the Ranch Bowl. Most recently she has been involved in the welcoming committee for the past three years and membership committee for the past two years. We appreciate her dedication to the Omaha Sports Club.
Thanks for all who attended and we’re looking forward to next year’s event.
