Presidential Candidate
Jim Graves
Years in OSC: 10
Jim has served as president for one year. Jim has been on the social committee and co-chaired social for two years. He has also served as public relations chairman for three years and chaired the nominating committee for two years (until he decided to run for office last year).
Jim has played in most of the golf scrambles for 10 years and has been the league manager on the Wednesday night Shoreline golf league for five years. Jim attends most OSC Happy Hours and social functions. Jim was also the 2009 OSC Man of the Year.
Jim enjoys being president and feels it plays a very important role in keeping the club alive.
Vice Presidential Candidate
Barb Fulbright
Years in OSC: 3
Barb has been the social chairperson for the past year and a half. She’s organized a variety of different social activities and outings and enjoys the planning and organizing for these events. Barb is welcome to new ideas and always willing to try something different. Barb has participated in the golf leagues, golf scrambles, bowling and volleyball.
Barb enjoys attending and acting in the local theater, ballroom dancing, reading, traveling and has been involved with the Omaha Press Club Show.
Barb feels the Omaha Sports Club is a good club with lots of great people and said she’s made lots of new friends since joining. Barb also feels that she wants to do her part in serving her fellow OSC members.
Treasurer Candidate
Pat Martinson
Years in OSC: 22
Pat currently serves as treasurer and had been the bowling secretary for seven years. She has also served as vice president for one year, softball chairperson for two years and publications for two years. Pat has organized three Niobrara canoe trips and served on the beach party committee and has been a captain for softball, darts and bowling.
Pat has also participated in billiards, sand volleyball, walleyball, golf leagues, golf scrambles and many social events and is a past Woman of the Year recipient. Pat said she believes in the club and wants to see it successful and wants to keep the reputation of the club in good standing with the community and member.
She said she will spend the many hours needed to accomplish this. She would like to see more members use the online payments to pay for membership and activities.
Secretary Candidate
Deb Davidson;
Years in OSC: 10
Deb currently serves as secretary. Deb has been a member of the growth and retention membership committee as well as the community outreach committee. She was roster chairperson for two years, Sportscaster publisher for two years and billiards chair for three years. Deb has been a captain in darts, bowling and billiards.
Deb has participated in golf scrambles, boat cruises, OSC excursions and many Happy Hours and Omaha Sports Club social events. Deb is also the 2009 Woman of the Year. Deb said she has enjoyed serving on the board and that she has a good understanding of the position and would like to run for secretary one more year.
