Omaha Sports Club members needed only to look at the continually replaying screen show to know that this year's Annual Affair would be a “night of a thousand memories."

Both past and present photos grabbed the attention of everyone. It's safe to say everyone had a great time celebrating the Omaha Sports Club’s 70th birthday on Friday, September 23, at Arbor Hall.

Fourteen honored guests made the celebration special. Some had been members of the original Union Pacific Skating Club (the predecessor to the OSC) and still meet every December at the Bohemian Café.
They shared some very special memories from when they joined the club and truly made our celebration very special event. We give them a heartfelt thank you for attending.
Along with the honored guests, we had 141 members and five guests at the annual affair. That was a great crowd.
The 2012 Omaha Sport Club officers are president, Jimmy Graves; vice president, Barb Fullbright; secretary, Deb Davidson; and treasurer, Pat Martinson. The 2011 Man of the Year is Ken Curran and the 2011 Women of the Year are Deb Emery and Kay Timm (see their bios in following article).
A White Bag Charity Raffle raised $554 to be donated to the Lydia House and the Stephen Center. This was possible thanks to the generosity of outside community donors and Omaha Sports Club members.
After adjournment of the business meeting, everyone danced the rest of the evening away to the music of “Rough Cut,” who played until the night was through.
Thanks to all who contributed their time and effort for the night’s success.

Editor’s Note: A special thanks goes to Joyce Stoural for a very special annual affair. It was truly inspiring to hear some of the first members talk about the OSC. Plus, the screen show and raffle took lots of work. Thanks to all who helped.
