Come join your fellow Omaha Sports Club members in August on the scenic Niobrara River for one of our best canoe trip offerings. We have all the comforts of home, including air-conditioned cabins, showers and toilets, plus all food is furnished. It’s open to non-members, too.
Hurry! DEADLINE IS JULY 25.
We’ll leave after work on Friday, August 10, and return about 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 12. En route, we will have drinks and snacks on the bus.
Rocky Ford Outfitters of Valentine will provide canoes, kayaks and tubes. You need to bring a sleeping bag and personal gear.
Before we head out onto the river, a continental breakfast will be provided Saturday morning. Lunch is on your own but food is a available on site at the store. On Saturday night, we will be treated to a full steak dinner with all the trimmings.
Before we leave on Sunday, a full breakfast will be provided. We’ll leave Rocky Ford around noon. Showers will be available at the end of the trip, along with snacks.
The first 26 people to sign up will share air-conditioned cabins. Tents will be provided for the remaining people.
Our last OSC canoe trip was in 2004, so sign up and let’s continue this tradition.
The trip will only cost $220 for members and $245 for non-members, which includes an OSC membership. You can pay via check or credit card online with Pay Pal. Please send application to Ken McKeone, 15123 Bemis St., Omaha, NE 68154.
