Hello, hola, aloha, shalom, ya’at’eeh, and ahayoou gozaimasu sports fans:
Last month, I mentioned we would have a trip to the Dominican Republic for December this year. This is short notice but I wanted to make it available in case anyone wanted to get out of the cold.
We are looking at the Oxidental Grand Punta Cana. This will be an all inclusive trip, and they have many restaurants and bars and a beautiful beach. We would leave Omaha EARLY on December 8 and return to Omaha on December 13.
The cost will be $1,188 per person double occupancy and for an ocean view room, add $150. This cost is for airfare and lodging and transfers. If we have enough for a group quote, we will adjust the cost downward. Call me for more details.
In March or April 2010, we will plan a trip to Reno/Tahoe. The national bowling tournament will be going on then and some of us may want to bowl in it. Plus, the skiers in the club can go along and ski the many ski areas around Lake Tahoe. I have checked on the cost for lodging and airfare to Reno and the range is from about $400 on up.
The plans are to stay in Lake Tahoe and the bowlers will drive to Reno to bowl. If you have never been to the Lake Tahoe area, it is beautiful with great skiing, hiking, gambling, food, entertainment, golf in season, and more. I will have to research transportation options to Lake Tahoe from Reno and will have more details next month.
I am looking at several resorts and also have the option of renting condos for groups of six or more people that want to share a condo. Bowlers have to be entered by Oct. 1, 2009. I will have more details on this event aoon. So if you are interested, please call me. I hope we can get 10 bowlers, so we can do all of the events.
We will plan a nice trip for fall/winter of 2010 and the details will be out early next year. It is my hope that we will have a large contingent of OSC members on this trip. Any suggestions for destinations will be appreciated.
Aloha, shalom, Ja ne, arrivederchi, au revoir, hagoonea, adios, bye
