I know everyone enjoyed our fabulous annual affair last month - better than our usual happy hour (but it's close).
The ides of autumn will take us into Clancy's Pub at 72nd and Pacific streets for our next happy hour foray beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 9. Clancy's has always been one of the club's better attended gatherings.
We will have our usual reserved area with drink and food specials galore. Clancy's will extend their special pricing for the late-arriving Elmwood golfers, at least those who are still golfing after leagues have ended. How thoughtful of Clancy's! So let's all show up for this gala.
After nearly seven years of serving up the most memorable happy hours possible, I will be turning off the light. Yes, I am leaving the post and making it possible for new ideas, themes and locations from fresh minds.
Thanks for the support throughout the years. I've enjoyed every moment, good people and the hope that you did also.
I'll leave you with my anthem: See you there, you're all invited! Let's trip down memory lane to Clancy's.
