Final Week
Bowling

Omaha Sports Club offers bowling on Friday nights. Teams consist of eight to 10 bowlers. Five bowlers bowl each week, which allows participants regular nights off. Bowling is "pay per play" - pay $12 only on the nights you bowl. Lanes are turned on for practice at 6:15 p.m. and bowling starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. Bowling should end no later than 9:45 p.m.

If you are interested in bowling with the Omaha Sports Club, please contact Darlene Zauss or send an e-mail to bowling@omahasportsclub.com.

The statistics won't be posted every week - probably just the most current score sheet when the article is due. If you really want a copy of the weekly sheet, send an email to treasurer@omahasportsclub.com and I will try to remember to email you the sheet (being old and senile the key word is "remember").

I guess when you are "on fire" as PJ Preston was the first night, you just keep going. I am not sure how long his 701 series and 257 game will hold as "highs," but we know there will be a few folks chasing him. The target for the women is Darlene Zauss' 591 series and 215 game. Nice bowling - both of you. Perri Maile earned herself an award by rolling a 178 game - 91 pins over book average. Outstanding!

We have a suggestion that we "celebrate" Halloween this year by bringing munchies and dressing up on October 30.  I know it is a bit difficult to bowl in a costume or mask but "wierd and wacky" works. A table will be set up for food, and I will pick up plates, napkins and utensils. Maybe a certain person on "Half Fast" will see if blondes have more fun.

Good luck and good bowling! See you at Western Bowl!
