The Omaha Sports Club dart leagues are winding down from the winter sessions and we’ve seen great play from players in both leagues.
At the Monday night Cricket League, it appears that it has become a two-team race between Glenn Schwanz and Deb Davidson. Thus far, notable feats in Cricket include eight mark hits by Brad McGill and Al Stephens, and Cricket hat tricks by Dave Gentleman, Glenn Schwanz, Diana Haye, Rich Feekin and Randy Smith. Nice throwing by all of you!
Our 301 Sunday league still has a few of weeks of play, and it looks like a tight race between the teams of Kevin Adams and Glenn Schwanz. (Team Kiihne is the darkhorse in this race.) 301 dart feats of note include hat tricks by Spencer Jacobs, Larry Tjaden, Bob Swatek, Gene Kloewer, Mark Kiihne, Glenn Schwanz and Liz Anderson (nice dance, Liz!).
Calendar note for schedules: We will move our banquet from April 11to April 18 (6 p.m. Sunday at Chrome) because I couldn’t find anyone willing to wear an Easter Bunny costume on April 4. This means no darts on Easter, April 4.
We will have pizza and other things again this year with our traditional Sammy Spicka Memorial doubles tournament to follow. It’s a great opportunity to throw doubles wild-card cricket darts and have some laughs and suds! We’ll have a blind draw; so, there is an even chance for all levels of ability.
Come join us at Chrome Lounge at 84th Street and Park Drive in Ralston!
