May brings us the first scramble event for 2010. We have played dozens of different golf courses (within an hour's drive of Omaha). It's funny we've never played a scramble at Fox Run.

Fox Run allowed us to play our Friday league (temporarily), when Elmwood Golf course was under construction. We've used the restaurant at Fox Run for the golf league banquet a several years ago too.

But this year, Fox Run gave us a great price on golf, a good deal on food and lots of golf carts. The reason I mention golf carts ... several golf courses I've called this year were unable to host our group because they didn't have enough carts (and were unable to arrange additional carts). A few private clubs decided not to allow any public play, (but we will visit one in August at Shenandoah, Iowa).

The outing at Fox Run begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22. It will cos t$46 per person (price includes a sirloin steak dinner).
