Back in February I booked several scrambles for this year: Fox Run in May, Denison in June and Shenandoah in August. All I needed was something for July.

My objective was to play at Crestwood Country Club in Anita, Iowa, for July, but they wouldn't let us on. In April, I booked Quail Run for July and Shoreline for Sweater Day. Then I got a call from Denison Golf Course (who went under new management). Without going into details, it was too expensive to play so I canceled. I booked at Woodbine Country Club, which is a nine-hole course I wanted to try. We were in the books for several weeks until they called me and said they were double booked (must be managed by the same people at Indian Trails, in Beemer).

Our latest scramble location for June is Pacific Springs in Omaha. I called dozens of places out-of-town because it's great to travel somewhere and play something you don't see every week. I folded to something local; I hope everyone agrees with my choice.
