In July, after a six-year wait, we made another trip to Columbus. Tim White had some good connections at the Legion hall and we planned our dinner after golf there. It was good to play there once again, and with that connection, there’s a pretty good chance our club will be allowed to play the Elks Country Club in 2011. It doesn’t seem right to drive all the way to Columbus and not stop by the horse track, but the ponies weren’t running.
The flag winners were:
Hole #1 Closest 2nd shot, Joyce Stoural; Hole #2 Longest Drive ladies, Connie Konecny;
Hole #3 Closest 2nd shot, Larry Welch; Hole #4 Closest Tee shot, Dave Fiximer;
Hole #5, Closest 3rd shot, Jerry Boeckman; Hole #6 Closest 2nd, Jason Volquardsen;
Hole #7 Longest Drive Men, Zach McIntyre; Hole #8 Closest Tee shot, Wendy Cramer;
Hole #9 Longest Putt, Larry Welch; Hole #10 Closest 3rd shot, Kevin Wills;
Hole #11 Closest Tee shot, Randy Volquardsen; Hole #12 Closest 2nd shot, Brad Coe;
