Here is the information for where we will play leagues.
Monday:
Sunset Valley CC
Location: 9300 Arbor Street
Tee Times: 5:00 - 5:30ish
Cost: $250 (or $125 x 2)
League Starts: Monday, May 2
Par 35, 9-hole course: Sunset Valley is becoming a club favorite for many people in our group. Some people in our league have even become full club members. Sunset Valley CC is Omaha's best kept secret. Sunset may be flat course but a few creeks, a lake and some long par 3s make it challenging. A 15-week league with room for 24 golfers.
Tuesday:
LaVista Falls Golf Course
Location: 8305 Park View Blvd., LaVista
Starting Tee Time: 4:45
Cost: $186 (or $93 x 2)
League Starts: Tuesday, May 3
LaVista Falls just about guarantees someone will get a hole in one, not really, but last year there were 3-aces in our league. That’s enough reason for me to sign up. A par 31, 9-hole course. Some water, some tough greens but a good social league when all have finished. Room for 24 golfers.
Wednesday:
Shoreline Golf Course
Location: 5th & Locust (in Carter Lake).
Starting Tee Time: 5:00
Cost: $218 (or $109 x 2)
League Starts: Wednesday, May 4
Shoreline is an 18-hole track. League golfers alternate the front nine and the back nine each month during the season. A 16-week league with room for 24 golfers.
Thursday:
Westwood Heights Golf Course
Location: 129th & West Center Road
Starting Tee Time: 5:15
Cost: $164 (or $82 x 2)
League Starts: Thursday, May 5
The price dropped at Westwood GC this year, making this the most affordable league. This is another good social league, where everyone goes somewhere after golf for drinks &/or dinner. A shorter golf course and room for 16 golfers.
Friday:
Elmwood Park Golf Course
Location: 63rd & Pacific St. (in the park)
Tee Times: 4:00 – 6:00
Cost: $224 (or $112 x 2)
League Starts: Friday, May 6
Our largest league with room for 100 golfers. We utilize the whole course on Friday nights playing on the front and back nines each week. A great way to start the weekend.
Sunday:
Sunday email group (golfing with e-mail alerts only). Sundays usually between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and sometimes at 2 p.m. if we can get a price break. I’ll make tee times to play 18-holes somewhere different each week. Tee times are made one week in advance for a group of 16 (4 tee times).
Each Monday a “broadcast e-mail” is sent to everyone that signs up for the Sunday group. The first 16 people that reply to that e-mail play then a waiting list is formed after.
Golfers are responsible for his/her own green fees (and cart fees if riding). All that is required is to have an e-mail address for easy contact and tee time conformation. Bring a friend, so he/she can see what the OSC is all about.
We had 88 names on that email list last year… Or add your name to my email list for info on our monthly scrambles, too. First Week: Sunday, May 8.
