The summer league appears to be moving along very well and teams are vying for the top positions. We have many new players this session and many players are playing at levels higher than they have played in the past.
Our fall session may bring some changes in our gym locations, with the possibility that we might be losing one of our favorite locations. We will keep you posted.
The fall coed applications will be available next month, so do not forget to tell your friends, family and co workers to give our leagues a try.
The Omaha Sports Club annual affair is just around the corner, and by the way, this is free to all members. There will be free food and drinks until the quick board meeting starts and then the band Rough Cut will perform the rest of the night.
You will be able to vote for our executive board and also on an amendment change to lower our membership age to 19 from 21. We had hoped to allow on line voting this year, but were unable to develop a secure way of making it happen.
You are encouraged to vote this year because this change would take a minimum of 2/3 of the votes to make a change. This is your opportunity to have a very fun night and have your voice heard.
Speaking of opportunity, we still need candidates. This is a great way to give to your club and network with the many members that we have. Please give it some thought and contact Joe Martinez if you have any questions or are willing to serve.
Thank you all for taking such good care of our facilities. The staff at these locations appreciate our efforts and enjoys having us in their facilities.
Have a great summer,
OSC Volleyball committee
