Hello fellow v-ballers:
After last month’s novella, this month’s update will be much shorter. After all the gym-related drama, we added a little more drama between the Tuesday and Thursday tryouts, which caused one last round of schedule jockeying. However, we managed to get all our leagues up and running. The women’s league also started play last week and the men’s league will get under way this week.
Thanks to everyone who helped recruit, rework the schedule, man the registration table or volunteer to be a league manager or captain. This can’t happen without each and every one of you.
Currently, we are working on getting our contracts set up for next year. We have some in place already and other requests in, but if you have a contact or other “in” with a decent two-court facility that won’t charge an arm and leg or your first-born child to rent for a few hours on a Tuesday or Thursday, let me know.
Also, if you have any concerns or ideas to help make OSC volleyball better, we’d love to hear that, too. If you aren’t comfortable talking to me or CJ personally, talk to your captain or league manager. We are planning to have a meeting with the league managers to discuss ideas for future sessions.
Well, that’s all for now. So thanks again for putting up with some inconvenience this session. We are working hard to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible and that it will be much better in the fall. Now go hit the courts and have a great time!
